Team Philadelphia’s Bantam B National Black team won its Thanksgiving tournament this past weekend held at The Patriot Ice Center in Newark, DE.
On Friday, they tied the Haverford Hawks 3 – 3. Then on Saturday, they played two games. The first game they defeated the Greater New York Stars 5 – 0 and then tied Long Beach Lighting 5 – 5 in game two. They defeated the Hawks 2 – 0 in a rematch on Sunday for the championship.
Darian Freed had five points (2 goals and 3 assists) while Luc Rollet, Donny Troyano and Alvin Grubb each had three points (2 goals and 1 assist); Danny Kephart scored the game winning goal in the championship game while Evan Myrtetus assisted on Kephart’s goal. Netminder Brady Iddon-Raught posting two shutouts over the weekend including the championship game 2-0 over Haverford.
