Team Philadelphia announces Bantam and Midget players of the week for week ending December 8

Team Philadelphia is pleased to announce the organization’s Players of the Week for week ending December 8, 2019. The Players of the Week is a weekly feature during the 2019-20 regular season that recognizes top performing players for the Bantam, Midget and 18U levels. Only players that are recommended by their respective teams are considered for the Players of the Week award.

Midget 16U A National - Brady Ewing
Brady Ewing two shorthanded goals and one assist in a 4-0 win over Grundy.

Midget 16 A American Orange - Aidan Mirra – First Star
Aidan Mirra recorded his first shutout of the season in the 6-0 win on 11/26/19 vs Midget 16 A American Black.

Midget 16 A American Orange - Zach Perkins – Second Star
Zach Perkins recorded his first hat trick of the season on 11/26/19 vs Midget 16 A American Black.

Bantam A National Black – Brady Callahan - First Star
Brady played a great weekend of hockey against some solid competition.  He contributed to the team's two wins over York.  In addition to scoring a goal and an assist, his forechecking, races to loose pucks, and hitting were difference makers in this weekend's competition.

Bantam A National Black – Luke Carson - Second Star
Luke has been a truly versatile player.  He effortlessly switched between defense and offense in the team's 3 games and scored the game winner in the 2-0 shut out over York, contributed an assist against the Ducks, and anchored a solid defensive effort in the 3-1 victory in the second game against York.

Bantam A National Orange – Jack Biruk - First Star
Jack helped Team Philly Bantam A National Orange to a 3-1 record during the Thanksgiving Tournament in Aston. He had 4 goals, 2 assists in 4 games, including a hat trick against the Delaware Ducks.

Bantam A National Orange – Broden Foley - Second Star
Broden had 4 goals and 1 assist as well during the Thanksgiving Tournament. He helped Team Phila Bantam A National Orange to a 3-1 record.

Bantam B National Orange – Anthony Barbuto - First Star
Goalie played all four games in the local Liberty Cup Winter Classic and stood tall against very good competition with GAA of 3.00 and save % of .905

Bantam B National Orange – Clay Smart - Second Star
Blueliner recorded 2 goals and 3 assists in the 4 games and played very strong defensively.

Bantam B National Orange – Wim Von Rossum - Honorable Mention
Defenseman played great, physical hockey all weekend and helped lead strong defensive effort by all blueliners.
