Team Philadelphia announces Bantam and Midget players of the week for week ending January 5

Team Philadelphia is pleased to announce the organization’s Players of the Week for week ending January 5, 2020. The Players of the Week is a weekly feature during the 2019-20 regular season that recognizes top performing players for the Bantam, Midget and 18U levels. Only players that are recommended by their respective teams are considered for the Players of the Week award.

Midget 16U A American Orange - Aiden Laverty - First Star
Laverty scored the game winning goal in overtime in the team's 3 - 2 win against the Wintersport Royals on Saturday.

Midget 16U A American Orange - Zach Perkins – Second Star
Perkins scored a hat trick in the team’s 4 – 1 win over the Exton Kings on Sunday.

Bantam B National Orange – Clay Smart - First Star
Smart scored with 0.9 seconds left in regulation to tie the game and then scored the game winner in overtime in Saturday’s 3 – 2 win over the Quakers. He scored again and played shut down defense in the team’s 6-2 over Chester County on Sunday

Bantam B National Orange – William Davis - Second Star
Davis had two assists and generated tons of scoring chances in the 3-2 overtime win over Quakers, and he followed it up with a hat trick and an assist in the 6-2 win over Chester County.

Bantam B National Orange – Caden Mueller - Honorable Mention
Mueller had one assist in the 3-2 win over Quakers and helped lead a depleted Defensive corp and played through an illness himself by playing smart and aggressive defense.
