Team Philadelphia is pleased to announce the organization’s Players of the Week for week ending February 3, 2019. The Players of the Week is a weekly feature during the 2018-19 regular season that recognizes top performing players for the Bantam and Midget levels. Only players that are recommended by their respective teams are considered for the Players of the Week award.

Midget Player of the Week - Justin Rhein, Forward, 16U A National
Rhein scored two goals this past weekend, including the game winner with eleven seconds remaining in regulation, to have led the 16U A Nationals over the Grundy Senators. “I’m really happy for our boys” stated head coach Dave Hendricks. “It was a gritty win, and I’m really glad for Justin. He plays so hard. It was great to see” concluded Hendricks.

Midget Player of the Week - Aidan Mirra, Goaltender, 16U A American
Mirra recorded a 20 save shutout on Saturday when he and his teammates defeated Snider Youth 5 – 0. Many of his saves were Grade A. “Aidan was spectacular in the nets for us” said head coach Scott Caputo. “He stood on his head and made several 10 bell saves. It was an excellent overall performance to see” stated Caputo.
