Team Philadelphia announces Bantam and Midget players of the week for week ending February 24

Team Philadelphia is pleased to announce the organization’s Players of the Week for week ending February 24, 2019. The Players of the Week is a weekly feature during the 2018-19 regular season that recognizes top performing players for the Bantam and Midget levels. Only players that are recommended by their respective teams are considered for the Players of the Week award.

Bantam B National Orange Players of the Week – Anthony Barbuto, Goaltender, Nick Meehan, Forward and Andrew Mermelstein, Defenseman
The Bantam B National Orange team defeated the Valley Forge Colonials 6 – 1 this past Saturday and three players on the team are being recognized. Goaltender Anthony Barbuto only allowed one goal and had a .940 save percentage. Nick Meehan and Andrew Mermelstein each had two points (1 goal and 1 assist respectively).

Bantam A National Black Player of the Week – Tyler Aughey – Forward
Tyler helped his team claim a spot in the Atlantic District Championships in March by scoring multiple goals to lift the A-Nats over the Philadelphia Revolution this past weekend. With Aughey’s help, the A-Nats swept the Revolution two games to none in the best of three playoff series.

Bantam AA Player of the Week – No award.

Midget Player of the Week - No award.
