Team Philadelphia is pleased to announce the organization’s Players of the Week for week ending December 22, 2019. The Players of the Week is a weekly feature during the 2019-20 regular season that recognizes top performing players for the Bantam, Midget and 18U levels. Only players that are recommended by their respective teams are considered for the Players of the Week award.
Midget 16U A American Orange - Carson Cebul
Cebul had five goals in Team Philadelphia’s Midget 16 A American - Orange 6-2 win over previously unbeaten Haverford.
Bantam A National Orange – Alfie Overton – First Star
Alfie had a great weekend in a two-game sweep over the Ashburn Extreme. Overton had five assists in the two games. He played very well, and his hard work paid off.
Bantam A National Orange – Cam Chandler – Second Star
Cam went 2-0 in the weekend series against the Ashburn Extreme including a 5 – 0 shutout in Sunday’s game.
Bantam B National Orange – Stephen Plzak - First Star
Plzak had two goals during a 5 – 2 win over Team Philadelphia Black, and he then have five points (3 goals and 2 assists) in the team’s in 9-0 win over Jr Pens, while also playing great defensively.
Bantam B National Orange – Clay Smart - Second Star
Smart had one assist in the team’s 5-2 over Team Philadelphia Black and played shut down defense and had four points (2 goals and 2 assists) in the 9-0 win over Jr Pens.
Bantam B National Orange – EJ Bistline - Honorable Mention
Bistline played great defensively in both wins and his passing was at an elite level as well.
