Team Philadelphia is pleased to announce the organization’s Players of the Week for week ending February 9, 2020. The Players of the Week is a weekly feature during the 2019-20 regular season that recognizes top performing players for the Bantam, Midget and 18U levels. Only players that are recommended by their respective teams are considered for the Players of the Week award.
Bantam A National Black – Wesley Miller – First Star
Wesley had a productive weekend on the ice as the Bantam A Black team wrapped up their DVHL season. Wesley scored three goals in two games against some tough competition, including a power play goal with 2:12 left in the game against the Haverford Hawks which sent the game into overtime.
Bantam A National Black - Shane O'Neill – Second Star
With several defenseman unavailable for games, Shane's leadership at the blue line made a big difference in this past weekend's competition. In addition to his strong defensive play, Shane scored on a critical 5-3 power play against the Haverford Hawks with a blast that found the back of the net that changed the momentum of the game.
Bantam B National Orange - Preston Wilson– First Star
Wilson had two points (1 goal and 1 assist) and played a strong game throughout a 5-1 win over Delco Phantoms on Sunday.
Bantam B National Orange - Owen Waltermyer – Second Star
Waltermyer had one sweet assist and stood out with his hustle all game in the 5-1 win over Delco Phantoms.
Bantam B National Orange – Clay Smart - Honorable Mention
Smart had two goals in eight seconds on two top shelf snipes in 5-1 win over Delco Phantoms.
